About Cancer
Cancer covers Jun 21 – Jul 22. It is the fourth sign of the zodiac, a water sign in the cardinal group. Cardinal signs open a season. The Sun enters Cancer at the June solstice, by the Northern Hemisphere calendar.
The Moon is the traditional ruler of Cancer, and each daily reading names it for you. The Moon is the one ruler that is not a planet, and it passes through all its phases every 29.5 days.
A sun-sign reading is the same for everyone born under Cancer. A chart drawn for your birth date, time and place is a different, narrower thing. Foresight, not fate.
